Deepen your connection to the environment at a Restoration Workday in Waukegan Dunes! Hosted by the Lake Plain Coalition and Lake County Audubon. No experience necessary! We will guide you through the process. Children welcome with an adult.

Friday, October 9 and Saturday, October 10 from 9 am - 12 pm

Join us for one day or both!

Workday activities include planting native trees, shrubs, and wildflowers along the boardwalk near the Stiner Pavilion in collaboration with Lake County Audubon Sharing Our Shore - Waukegan to create food, shelter, and vital stopover habitat for birds migrating along Lake Michigan.

What to Bring: Friends and loved ones, work gloves, and water to stay hydrated. Sunscreen and bug spray also recommended. If you have a shovel or hand trowel you would like to bring, the more the merrier, but tools will be provided!

What to Wear: Dress for the weather. Closed-toe shoes required. Long pants and sturdy, waterproof hiking boots that can get dirty or muddy recommended.

Where to Go: Please park in the Municipal Beach Parking Lot off East Sea Horse Drive closest to the Stiner Pavilion. We will meet there a few minutes before 9 AM.
